WEATHER BEATS WESTFIELDS

The frost and snow returned to bite Westfields when their important home MFA league encounter with visiting Coventry Sphinx was postponed at 11.30am Saturday morning.

Local HFA referee Jim Lambert inspected allpay.park only to find frozen goalmouths and ruled the game unplayable and saved the Coventry visitors from travelling.

Westfields’ Hereford Prem team tried to return to action but their trip to Kington Town was also a victim of the frozen conditions.

Westfields now face an MFA League Cup quarter-final tie at home to Studley on this Tuesday 2nd February, kick-off 7.45pm, while on Saturday they visit 2nd in the table Coalville Town away at Leicester, kick-off 3pm, and the following Tuesday travel to Shifnal Town for another re-arranged game, kick-off 7.45pm.
