Westfields Sign new Striker

WESTFIELDS SIGN RICHARD KEAR

Westfields have signed Almondsbury Town striker Richard Kear when the 27 year old prolific striker agreed to join Westfields after training with the city side at the weekend.  With another blank weekend due to the snow Westfields’ manager, Sean Edwards, persuaded the Almondsbury marksman to link up with his former Cinderford Town striker Daryl Addis and will hopefully make his Westfields debut away at Kirby Muxloe at Leicester on Saturday in the MFA.

Kear made 45 league and Cup appearances for Almondsbury last season scoring the 20 goals and 3 “Man of the Match” awards.

Previous to playing for Almondsbury he was with Swindon Supermarine, Cinderford Town and Cheltenham Town.

“We still have 24 league games to play plus an MFA Cup Quarter Final and an HFA Senior County Challenge Cup Semi Final so there is a lot to play for this season and Richard can play a big part.  We are delighted to have signed him as Sean Edwards has been after another striker to link up with Daryl Addis and this is a big boost to us” said Andy Morris, Westfields’ Chief Executive.
