Pre Season Friendly v Dudley Sports

Westfields ended their pre-season friendly programme with a 2-1 home win over Dudley Sports at allpay.park last night.

Westfields, who open their MFA campaign on Saturday at home, started well with Sam Harrison setting up an early chance for Darryl Addis who fired just wide.

Westfields took the lead in the 22nd minute with a superb goal when good work between Terry Green, Sam Harrison and Darryl Addis saw Jamie Edwards fire home a thunderous 20-yard shot into the roof of the net to give Westfields the lead.

Dudley hit back and just before half-time Jon Pugh made a brilliant save when he held onto a terrific low drive from the Dudley striker.

After the break Westfields looked promising with Sam Hunt and Mike Evans linking well with the attack and Darryl Addis increased the lead when the ex Gloucester City striker fired home from an acute angle after Evans had set up the chance.  Dudley came back and Jon Hill conceded an own goal when attempting to clear a left wing cross but Westfields finished strong with Addis hitting the Dudley post.
