Westfields moved into the top four of the MFA with a terrific 4-3 home win over visiting Highgate United at allpay.park last night when a late goal by substitute Mark Davis gave Westfields a 4-3 win after the home side had trailed 3-2 with an hour gone.
In a classic end to end game Westfields maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a non stop performance when MARK HIBBARD headed Westfields in front from a Sam Harrison throw-in only for TOM THACKER to equalise for Highgate United before the break.
After the interval DARYL ADDIS shot Westfields into a 2-1 lead with a 20 yard shot but visiting Highgate came back to equalise through NATHAN HANDS then TOM THACKER headed the visitors into a 3-2 lead on the hour.
Westfields came back to equalise with a thumping 25 yarder from DAN MOON and then in a ‘ding dong’ encounter Moon laid on a perfect cross for MARK DAVIS to score the winner with a powerful header after the veteran striker had come on as a late substitute, to maintain Westfields impressive start to the season.
