WESTFIELDS RETURN TO WINNING FORM.

Following a run of 3 defeats & a draw Westfields returned to form with a convincing win over 5th placed Alvechurch.

Mark Davis put away any nervous concerns in the 4th minute when slipping behind the Alvechurch defence to put his team in front.

On the quarter hour Scott Jackson scored his 2nd goal in 2 games this week when he placed the ball in the net from the narrowest of angles to give Fields a 2 –0 lead.

In the 2nd half Alvechurch fought back strongly & reduced the arrears in the 65th minute with a goal from Craig Thomas.

Within minutes Jamie Addis hit the Alvechurch crossbar from 20 yards & Mark Davis was unlucky not to score with a lob from mid way in the Alvechurch half, which went over.

With 6 minutes remaining Jamie Edwards who recently returned to Fields put over a superb cross, which Mark Davis controlled magnificently to slip the ball to Jamie Filkins to put his side 3-1 up.
