WESTFIELDS WIN AT FAIRFORD TOWN

Westfields continued their pre-season friendly programme with an impressive 2-0 away win at Hellenic League Premier Division side Fairford Town on Saturday.

Westfields opened up well and took a 1-0 interval lead through winger Carl Morgan.

After the break Westfields doubled their tally when they were awarded a penalty and former Worcester City and Malvern Town striker Troy Wood, currently on trial at Westfields, scored from the spot.  Fairford tried hard to get back but Westfields’ defence, well marshalled by Scott Jackson, withstood the home side’s pressure.
