Highworth Town 4 - Haines, Stevenson, Griffiths, Gallagher
Westfields 0
For the second game in a row Westfields were upstaged by a lowly Hellenic League side when Highworth Town over ran a poor Westfields side 4-0 at their headquarters.
Westfields who were held to a 1-1 draw with Cribbs last week found the young Highworth Town side full of running and Westfields poor display added to a comfortable win for the Swindon side.
Westfields could have been in front but for a brilliant save by Ollie Gargett in the Highworth goal who kept out a stinging drive from Luke Postle early on.
The home side went ahead in the 15 minute when Westfields defender Pat Wood was penalised for a foul and when the ball came into the box from the free kick it was swept home by Liam Haines.
Westfields hit back and both Bailey Fuller and Arwyn Walby had shots charged down before Highworth Town doubled their lead after a poor clearance by Jack Oxenham only found Ollie Stevenson who seized on the chance to give Highworth a 2-0 interval lead with a gift goal.
After the break Westfields could make little headway against the young Highworth team as Westfields continued to give the ball away with misplaced passes.
Highworth took advantage of Westfields poor passing and James Griffiths put Highworth 3-0 up from close range after Oxenham had parried a close range shot.
Westfields brought on substitutes Sirdic Grant , Archie Muirhead and Jamie Clark and this did inject fresh impetus until the last minute when Archie Muirhead brought down Ollie Stevenson in the penalty area and Bailey Gallagher sent Jack Oxenham the wrong way from the spot kick to give Highworth Town a 4-0 home win over a very disappointing Westfields side.
Next Saturday Westfields entertain Royal Wootton Bassett Town at allpay.park 3pm in a Hellenic League Premier Division fixture.
