Westfields vs Bewdley Town (2026-07-28)

Westfields finished their pre season friendlies in style, with their last game before the opening game of the new season, with a resounding 5-2 home win over visiting Bewdley Town at allpay.park on Tuesday night.

Manager Danny Janes used his squad well with roll on roll off substitutes and this paid off as Westfields finished strong over the Worcestershire visitors.

Westfields opened up well and took an early lead when Reiss Taylor-Randle set up striker Jamie Clark to rifle home a great finish to put Westfields 1-0 ahead.

Westfields had a number of chances to extend the lead as James Baldwin and Will Dallaway had good opportunities.

However, Bewdley Town hit back to equalise with a far post header from a free kick.

Westfields soon regained the lead when Dan Cottrill put Westfields 2-1 ahead just before the interval.

After the break Bewdley got back on level terms with an excellent headed goal early in the second half.

Westfields then began to dictate the game and Reiss Taylor-Randle skipped the Bewdley off side trap to go through and score to put Westfields 3-2 ahead.

Westfields were ending the game strong and full of running and Jamie Clark scored a clinical goal to put Westfields 4-2 ahead before Mike McGrath added a 5th goal with a cracking drive from a tight angle to give Westfields a cracking 5-2 win in their final pre season friendly.
