Westfields: Bailey Fuller
Hallen: Harrison Fairman
Man of the Match: Will Dallaway
Westfields were left frustrated for the second time in a week when they were held to a 1-1 home draw by lowly Hallen as the Bristol based visitors put up a stubborn defence to hold Westfields at allpay.park.
Westfields who had drawn away at Cribbs the previous week were keen to gain a Hellenic league win to maintain their promotion play off position, but they slipped down to 7th in the table with just a point to show for a hard working display.
Westfields opened up well and James Baldwin put over a number of good crosses which Westfields could not convert, while when Hallen hit back they found Westfields with new signing Rhys Bennett looking strong at the back.
Hallen defence finally cracked on the half hour when Bailey Fuller riffled home a left wing cross to give Westfields a 1-0 interval lead in the awful windy conditions.
After the break Hallen opened up well in search of an equaliser and Matt Gwynne in the home goal did well on a couple of occasions before Westfields had a good spell forcing a number of corners and free kicks without been able to score the vital second goal.
Hallen then caught Westfields on the break when they quickly defended a Westfields corner and broke away and leading goal scorer Harrison Fairman was left clear on goal to slot home the equaliser in the 75th minute . Five minutes later Westfields were again caught out with a swift Hallen attack this time Fairman saw his shot hit the Westfields post.
In the last 10 Minutes Westfields threw everything at the Hallen defence and Bailey Fuller was unlucky when a 18 yard drive hit the Hallen post and was cleared.
Hallen keeper then saved well from Tyrese Sibanda as the Westfields substitute seemed certain to score the vital winning goal. Westfields were left frustrated with a point but Hallen deserved a point from a stubborn defensive display.
