Westfields played out an exciting 1-1 draw with Hellenic League Champions Hartpury Uni at Allpay.park last night.

Both sides played fast attacking football in the first half and it took a brilliant flying save from Jack Oxenham to keep out a Hartpury header on the half hour.

Both sides defended well but just before the interval both sides scored when first Hartpury snatched a 43rd minute opening goal with a clever overhead kick, but right on half time Westfields drew level when Reece Day seized on a poor clearance and put Westfields level with a long range effort just before half time.

After the break Jack Oxenham in the Westfields goal was kept busy, but as the game went on Westfields came back well and hit the Hartpury post with a cracking effort from Bailey Fuller and in the last few minutes both sides went close to grabbing a winner as defences dominated the second half.
