Westfields paid tribute to the life of Hereford Legend and Westfields Supporter Colin Addison with a minutes applause before their 5-1 home win over visiting Headington Amateurs in the Hellenic Challenge Cup 3rd Round.
Westfields visitors Headington shook the hosts by taking a 2nd minute lead when Jay Sharkey shot the Oxford based side into the lead in their first attack.
Westfields gradually got back into the game and equalised when Aidan Clark charged down a clearance by Headington keeper George Baker and the ball flew into the net for the Westfields equaliser, then right on half time Clark put Westfields 2-1 ahead before the break with a clinical finish.
After the break Lewis Rose shot Westfields into a 3-1 lead before Aidan Clark completed his hat trick with a low shot out of the reach of the Headington Keeper.
Westfields then took control and George Baker in the visitors goal made a series of fine saves from Harrison Iddles, Zac Powell and Lewis Rose.
Westfields eased into the next round when they added a 5th goal when substitute Jamie Clarke hit a superb 20 yard free kick into the roof of the net to give Westfields a convincing 5-1 Challenge Cup win.
