Westfields 1 - Powell
Hereford Pegasus - 3 Tootal, Williamson 2
Westfields bowed out of the Wiseman Floodlit Cup at the 4th Round stage when local rivals Hereford Pegasus cruised to a comfortable 3-1 cup victory in torrential rain at allpay.park.
Westfields had taken an early lead through Zac Powell who hit a low shot into the corner of the net to give Westfields a 12th minute lead and looked to have built up a half time lead when on the stroke of half time Ben Tootal popped up to equalise for the visitors.
In the second half Hereford Pegasus scored twice in a 10 minute spell to kill the game off when leading goal scorer Jordan Williamson hit a cracking 25 yard shot into the roof of the net to give Hereford Pegasus a 2-1 lead on the hour.
Westfields were struggling to contain the lively visitors attack with former Westfields strikers Carlos Moreira and Harrison Summers both prominent.
However it was dangerman Jordan Williamson who killed the game off when he put Hereford Pegasus 3-1 ahead when he finished off a good move scoring from 12 yards to put the visitors firmly in the driving seat in this cup tie.
Hereford Pegasus were causing problems in their swift attacks and Westfields defence worked hard to keep them at bay as the visitors went through to the quarter finals and and away trip to Worcester Raiders in the next Round.
On Saturday Westfields have a home league match to Hallen FC from Bristol
