Westfields under new manager Danny Janes gained an impressive 4-2 home pre season friendly victory at allpay.park over visiting Needham Market Under 21s.
Westfields took only 2 minutes to open the scoring when Dan Cottrill put Westfields ahead following a corner.
Westfields were spraying the ball around well on a beautiful surface and increased their lead when Ben Tilbury scored from the penalty spot to put Westfields 2-0 ahead before the Suffolk visitors pulled a goal back midway through the first half.
Westfields then restored their 2 goal advantage when Yuri Quintas fired home an unstoppable shot after a good build up.
In an entertaining first half Needham Market pulled a goal back just before the break as the sides went in with Westfields just in front at 3-2 at half time.
After the break Westfields got off to flying start when in their first attack James Baldwin scored a fine individual goal with a rising shot to put Westfields 4-2 ahead.
The visitors kept pushing but found Westfields defence in sound form with Tilbury and Chris Gregan both strong at the heart of the Westfields defence.
Westfields attacked well down both flanks but Needham Market stood strong to deny Westfields any further goalscoring opportunities but Danny Janes new look side looked good for their 4-2 home win.
In an Under 18 game Needham Market beat Westfields under 18s 3-2 in an entertaining game played at the HFA County Ground.
Westfields now entertain Llantwitt Major on Saturday 3pm at allpay.park
