On Tuesday Westfields travel to Slimbridge then next Saturday are at home to Bristol based Cribbs who have just been relegated from The Southern League South and West Division
Westfields 7 - Powell, Clark 3, Postle 2, Muirhead
Tuffley Rovers 2 - Barnes, Warrington
Westfields produced a goal feast at allpay.park on Saturday against visiting Tuffley Rovers to earn 3 points in the Hellenic League Premier Division to hoist themselves up to the fringe of the play off places with a 7-2 home win over their Gloucester visitors.
Westfields found themselves a goal down early on when Westfields keeper Jack Oxenham brought down the visitors striker and former Westfields striker Oli Barnes put Tuffley 1-0 ahead from the penalty spot.
In driving rain Westfields hit back and when Luke Merchant in the Tuffley goal dropped a Westfields corner Kick Zac Powell put Westfields level with a simple tap in.
Tuffley were causing Westfields early problems but Jack Oxenham twice in the Westfields goal made good saves to prevent the visitors regaining the lead.
Westfields then went into the lead when Aidan Clark was on the spot to fire Westfields 2-1 with a clinical finish.
Westfields then raced into a 4-1 lead when on loan striker Luke Postle from Halesowen Town put Westfields 3-1 ahead from close range then gave them a 4-1 interval lead in the 36th minute when he hit a thunderous drive from outside the box into the roof of the net to put Westfields into a great position.
After the break Tuffley pulled a goal back when Corey Warrington hit a 20 yard free kick into the roof of the net to bring Tuffley back into the game at 4-2 as the visitors started the 2nd half in a strong fashion.
Westfields then increased their lead with a second goal from striker Aidan Clark to give Westfields a 5-2 lead after the visitors had given the former Pershore Town striker too much room in the box,
Westfields were enjoying the slick conditions and Aidan Clark got free on the right flank and made a great run to set up an easy chance for Archie Muirhead to tap home to put Westfields into 6-2 ahead.
Aidan Clark was causing all sorts of problems to the Tuffley defence and the big striker deservedly got his hat trick when the man of the match scored a fine solo goal with a curling shot from 18 yards to bring the game to an end with a tremendous win for Westfields 7-2 at allpay.park.
The win takes Westfields up to 6th in the table with their 6th league win of the season.
