Westfields FC is once again demonstrating its strong community spirit by dedicating a part of its much-loved annual golf day at Burghill Valley Golf Club on the 24th April to support the Atlas Adventure Trek, an ambitious fundraising initiative for the Boparan Charitable Trust.
The highly anticipated Chris Williams & Graham Preece memorial Westfields golf day has already sold out, with over 25 teams signed up to take part in what promises to be a fantastic day of competitive sport, networking and fundraising.
Among the highlights of the event will be a unique “blindfold hole” challenge on the Par 3 twelfth hole ⛳️ where teams can test their skills while raising additional funds to donate to this fantastic charity, those who get on the green will get the chance to win a caravan holiday at Trecco Bay courtesy of sponsors Hawthorns Caravan Hire 👏
Proceeds from this activity will go directly toward supporting the Atlas Adventure Trek.
The trek will see ten determined participants take on the formidable Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa, in an adrenaline-fuelled effort to raise funds and awareness for the charity’s vital work.
To date the challenge has raised over £44,000 with the team hoping to breakthrough the £50,000 barrier before the actual trek.
Adam Langley of Powell and Co a sponsor at the #Fields is amongst those taking part in the trek, expressed his gratitude.
“A huge thank you to the team at Westfields FC, who have once again shown they are a vital part of our community by supporting our charity challenge.”
All funds raised through the Atlas Adventure Trek will support the ongoing mission of the Boparan Charitable Trust, which works to transform the lives of children living with disabilities, life-limiting conditions, and those facing extreme poverty.
