Westfields FC Announce Squad to Face Manchester United Legends – May 10th, Allpay Park 3pm Ko⚽️
A huge day in the club’s history is fast approaching. On Sunday 10th May, Allpay Park will host a truly special occasion as we welcome a Manchester United Legends XI to Hereford.
And today, we’re proud to reveal the Westfields squad — a group drawn from one of the most iconic eras in our history managed on the day by Sean Edwards & Darren Lynch.
The #Fields team is built around the 2004 West Midlands League title‑winning squad & who can forget our only European Title in Prague when we lifted the Maldova 🏆 the same season, bolstered by a couple of standout players from just before that period, and three heroes from our unforgettable 2016 FA Cup run to the First Round Proper.
This is more than a match. It’s a celebration of the club’s 60-year journey that started in 1966 by founder Andrew Morris (Still involved today) its people, and the players who helped shape Westfields into the community force it is today.
🧤 Goalkeepers
• Jon Pugh – A commanding presence and key figure in the 2004 title triumph.
• Keiron Blackburn – Part of the 2016 FA Cup squad, known for big saves in big moments.
🛡️ Defenders
A blend of leaders, warriors, and club stalwarts:
• Matt Philips
• Jon Hill
• Sean Davies
• Alec Winstone
• Paul Price
• Scott Jackson
• Kevin Jinks
This group defined the resilience and togetherness of the early‑2000s Westfields sides — disciplined (well maybe not all the time) organised, and fiercely competitive.
⚙️ Midfielders
Creativity, graft, and match‑winning quality from across two eras:
• Craig Jones
• Mark Hibbard
• Danny Moon
• Wayne Hoskins
• Robbie Weaver (subject to availability)
• Roy Jordan
• Matthew Beale
• James Watkins
From box‑to‑box engines many goals to set‑piece specialists, this midfield group carries the DNA of Westfields’ most successful years.
🎯 Strikers
A strike force packed with goals, pace, power, and club folklore:
• Daryl Addis
• Richard Greaves
• Alex Sykes
• Paul Burton
• Lee Ferneyhough
• Chris Jefferson
• Derek Craddock
These forwards delivered some of the most memorable moments of the 2004 title run and the 2016 FA Cup adventure — and they’ll be looking to do it again but just a little slower.
This fixture brings together generations of supporters, volunteers, ex-managers our amazing sponsors, and players. It’s a chance to honour the club’s past while creating a new moment for the next chapter.
The Manchester United Legends will bring star power & honours we can only dream about to Allpay Park.
Westfields will bring heart, history, and a squad full of our club legends, not forgetting all the other players who have made our club what it is today, they number so many but they can’t all play unfortunately, hopefully they will come along support the club and be a part of the start of our 60th Anniversary Celebrations👏
May 10th. Allpay Park. A day to remember.
