This morning I took the devastating phone call from Jordan’s mum to let me know he had passed away 😞😞
Jordan was not just a good friend to me but someone who loved this club, Westfields, he came through our Junior ranks and played for myself in the reserve team for many years as a Goalkeeper.
To be asked to take on the responsibility as Reserve team manager and bring players to the club to fulfil this season was a huge honour for Bake’s and one he did with passion and commitment, all the way to yesterday when we sat in the clubhouse until 5pm discussing this weekends fixture and fixtures till the end of the season.
Bake’s always had a cheeky smile a personality that shone through and loved the banter with opposition teams and officials whether as a player or Manager later on in life.
We as a club have truly lost a great person and for me personally, a great friend, someone who made me laugh, who wound me up, infuriated me at times but most of all a honest genuine person who is going to be sadly missed by me and everyone who knew him at Westfields FC
At tomorrow’s senior team match we will be holding a 1 minute silence and a 1 minute applause for Jordan before KO
All four senior teams will be present on the pitch
Senior team, Reserve Team, Ladies and U-18’s
Sleep easy Bakes 💔💔
Bolty 😞😞
